How to make

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200°C (180°C for fan or gas mark 6).
  2. Grease a baking tray and line with non-stick baking parchment paper.
  3. Peel and mash the bananas in a mixing bowl, before adding the oats, milk and cinnamon.
  4. Use a wooden spoon to mix until all the oats are coated in the milk and banana mixture.
  5. Add the blueberries to the bowl and slowly mix in.
  6. Pour the mixture into the baking tray and press down firmly to create a flat top.
  7. Bake in the pre-heated oven for around 20-25 minutes. Make sure the porridge bars turn golden brown on the top.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before cutting into 10 bars. If you're preparing this recipe for a younger child, you may want to cut the baked porridge into slightly smaller bars.
  9. Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to three days. Alternatively, you can pop them in the freezer!
