How to make

  1. Using a knife, make a hole in the middle of the crumpet.
  2. Pipe the jam into the crumpet until the middle is filled.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the egg and double cream along with the cinnamon until combined.
  4. Soak the filled crumpet until the eggy mixture has absorbed into it.
  5. Tap off excess and fry in melted butter until both sides are golden and crispy (a few minutes on each side, medium heat).
  6. Roll in granulated sugar and enjoy!
