What adds the Christmas magic to your dessert?

In our search for the perfect festive treats, we set out to find Britain’s tastiest chocolates, tarts, mince pies, cupcakes and centrepiece-worthy puds to deliver to your doorsteps. But, knowing that most of us can’t resist a little something extra, we also wanted to find out exactly which toppings adds that touch of magic and sparkle to these moreish favourites, and our survey revealed some inspiring suggestions…

Unsurprisingly, a whopping 30% of you believe that a simple drizzle of double cream really gives a hot mince pie an extra bite of indulgence. We couldn’t agree more, which is why we continue to champion Tom Parker Creamery’s classic and luxurious cream. This Christmas, we’re also excited to welcome their amazing white chocolate, vanilla and Irish liqueur variety. A generous helping of this decadent cream poured over a hot dessert really savours the festive flavours of the humble mince pie and so many other wintery delights.

Custard was a close second favourite, followed by traditional brandy butter and then some wild cards. According to some of our customers, dairy-free alternatives, including plant-based m*lks and yoghurts, are the perfect partner to the good old mince pie, and when you consider the myriad of tasty natural flavours they come in, it shouldn’t be a shocker.
