Swiss Potato Rösti Recipe

How to make

  1. Grate the potato and soak in water for 5 minutes.
  2. Once soaked, use a cheese cloth to squeeze out the excess water.
  3. Sprinkle the potatoes with a pinch of salt.
  4. Set your pan on a medium low heat and pour in the vegetable oil.
  5. Press the drained grated potatoes into the pan and cover with a lid.
  6. After 7 minutes, check if the bottom of the rösti has turned golden brown. If it has, it’s time to flip it.
  7. Once flipped, fry the rösti for another 7 minutes or until crispy.
  8. Top with a fried egg, yoghurt, dill and a lemon wedge.
