Viral Crispy Feta Fried Egg

Maybe you’ve seen them on TikTok, or perhaps you’re just an avid cheese and eggs lover. Regardless, these five-minute viral crispy feta fried eggs will become a go-to breakfast classic in your house.

How to make

  1. Heat a small non-stick pan over a medium-high heat. Crumble the feta into two separate piles and immediately crack each egg into the centre of each pile. Season with a sprinkle of salt and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place a lid over the pan and reduce the heat to low.
  3. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the white is set but the yolk is still runny, and the feta is golden brown and crispy at the bottom. Remove from the heat.
  4. While the eggs are cooking, toast the bread and spread with butter. Top with a layer of basil pesto.
  5. Place the egg on top of the pesto and season with salt and pepper to serve.
